First Samsung GALAXY Note II Live Picture Leaks

With only two weeks left until Samsung’s launch event, which is set to take place in Berlin, Germany, on August 29, we have new details on the upcoming Galaxy Note II super-phone.

 The first render of the smartphone leaked a few days ago, but the source of the leak wasn’t able to confirm the origin of the picture.

 However, today we have a new photo showing the alleged Samsung Galaxy Note II, only this time it’s a live picture of the phone.


If we are to compare the two photos, there are many differences, so we’re inclined to believe the press shot of the Galaxy Note II is rather fake.

Samsung Preparing ARM Cortex A15 64-Bit Server Processors

Samsung already introduced the Exynos 5250 processor for mobile use some time last year, but the company said that the design was quite scalable and that we might see 2.5 Hz versions of the CPU.

Samsung Unveils Two Windows Phone 8 Devices, “Odyssey” and “Marco”

South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung is one of the handset vendors set to launch Windows Phone 8 devices when the new platform becomes available, and it seems that the company has at least two such smartphones ready.

 As part of an ongoing lawsuit with Apple, Samsung brought as evidence said two Windows Phone 8 smartphones, codenamed "Odyssey" and "Marco."

Samsung GALAXY Note 2 Confirmed for August 15 with 5.5-Inch Display

Samsung will launch its “newest Galaxy device” on August 15, but there were no additional details on the device that the South Korean company plans to launch in mid-August.

However, BGR has just learned from a source close to Samsung, that the handset maker will be launching the follow-up to the Galaxy Note “phablet,” the Galaxy Note 2.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, unveiled earlier this year at MWC 2012, is upgraded version of the very popular Galaxy Tab.


It was confusingly launched alongside the Galaxy Note 10.1 which sported a similar, slightly more premium look and a S-Pen stylus, something the former does not have, but unlike its predecessor it has only 16GB of internal memory.

Samsung Galaxy Beam launched in India for Rs. 33,900

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Beam, successor of their previous Beam, in India. It was announced at MWC earlier this year and went on pre-order last month and went on sale last week. It comes with 4.0-inch 480×800 (WVGA) TFT display and is powered by 1 GHz Dual-Core Processor. It has 15 lumens pico projector that allows users to share photos, videos or other digital media instantly and in crisp clarity up to 50-inch wide, at a distance of 2 meters. It is 12.5mm thick.

The company had earlier mentioned that their tablets were going to receive ICS in July or August so it is definitely good news that they are fulfilling their promise. Full Specs of Samsung’s Galaxy Chat Now Available

Samsung Omnia W gets Windows Phone Tango update

Yesterday, reported that the ageing Dell Venue Pro got the Tango update. Now another, newer and far more popular Windows Phone, the Samsung Omnia W, is getting ready to Tango.

Several users in India are reporting that their Omnia W has gotten the Window Phone Tango update. As usual, the update has to be downloaded by connecting your phone to a desktop computer.

The changes this update brings include ability to add media files in MMS, export and import contacts to and from the phone and other performance improvements. Unfortunately, the Internet sharing feature that Nokia promised for the Lumia phones is not available here.

Samsung GALAXY Note 2 Confirmed to Arrive in September with 5.5-Inch Display

According to the first rumors on the unannounced Galaxy Note 2, Samsung plans to put one of its newest Exynos system-on-a-chip (SoC) solution inside this smartphone.

In addition, the device should boast a large 5.5-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display, which might be of the same quality as Galaxy S III's PenTile screen.


It's been also rumored that Galaxy Note 2 will be equipped with 1.5GB of RAM, but given the fact that some Galaxy S III models are already shipping with 2GB of RAM onboard, this won't make it stand out.

Today, GSMArena claims that the 5.5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display has been confirmed by a trusted source close to the matter.

Moreover, the cited source also claims that the Galaxy Note 2 will come with 2GB of RAM instead of the previously rumored 1.5GB of RAM.

Apparently, the next Galaxy Note device will be a bit narrower than the original model and will feature a Galaxy S III-like form factor and design.

The smartphone will be powered by Samsung's Exynos 5250 chipset with dual-core ARM 15 processor, but this information has yet to be confirmed.

No word on the amount of megapixels of the main camera, but rumor has it that Galaxy Note 2 will boast an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back with improved sensor.

More importantly, Samsung decided to move the release date of the Galaxy Note 2 to September, though previous rumors claimed the smartphone will arrive in October.

The reason behind the South Korean handset maker's decision seems to be the fact that Apple plans to launch the iPhone 5 in October, so Samsung want to grab as many customers as possible before the Cupertino-based company comes forward with its latest product.
