Internet Explorer 9.0.8 (IE 9.0.8) Pushed via Windows Update

This week, Microsoft made available for download a new series of security updates to fix various issues that were found to affect its products.

Among them, there was one update specifically targeted at Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, aimed at resolving two vulnerabilities in the software.

“The vulnerabilities could allow remote code execution if a user views a specially crafted Web page using Internet Explorer,” Microsoft explained.

“An attacker who successfully exploited any of these vulnerabilities could gain the same user rights as the current user. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than users who operate with administrative user rights.”
